The role:

This role is ideal for an experienced Event Manager who is looking for the right opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge. The role entails helping to deliver logistics for all Real Deals Media events, from the initial strategy meeting to the event management onsite.

The individual has the chance to take on full responsibility for the logistics from start to finish on approximately 8-12 events per year, ranging from roundtables for 10-15 attendees to conferences for 200 and awards for up to 1,000.

Responsibilities include:

• Independent End-to-end event management on multiple projects
• Leading on identifying, negotiating with and managing relationships with suppliers
• Creating and controlling the budget sheet and event timelines for assigned events
• Sourcing venues
• Supporting the Event Assistant/Coordinator with delegate and sponsor management on the projects assigned
• Working closely with the conference producers, to support on-site with speakers and time management
• Ensuring the project keeps to deadlines and leading logistics meetings to ensure the team keeps to deadlines
• Building and maintaining good communication with the rest of the events team and wider company
• Working closely with the sales team and directly with clients on deliverables of contracts

Skills, attributes and experience

• Minimum of 4 years experience working on corporate/B2B events
• Proven experience in leading the management of complex events and logistics whilst working in a fast-paced events environment.
• Experience working with and managing venues
• Attention to detail
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects from start to finish
• A true team player - regular communication, flexibility and insight sharing
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Reliable, accountable, self-starter and the ability to motivate yourself while working in the office or remotely

Preferred skills, but not essential:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint OR Google docs
• Experience with event registration platforms and CRM tools.
• Experience in managing events abroad.
