We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Conference Producer to join our events team at Real Deals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow their career in B2B events and content production. In this role, you will support the development of engaging, high-quality conference agendas by conducting market research, identifying expert speakers, and collaborating with internal teams and sponsors.
You will be trained in sector knowledge, speaker engagement techniques, and event production best practices, with strong support from senior members of the team.

Real Deals publishes the most important European private equity news, alongside deep analysis and comprehensive deal coverage. Real Deals is available as a dedicated digital edition for all subscribers, alongside the print magazine.

Our events

Real Deals Media's events portfolio consists of a broad range of conferences, seminars and awards programmes in collaboration with our Publications, focused on business, finance and private equity. These include our long-standing (20 years +) Award ceremonies, such as the Growing Business Awards and Europe's leading private equity award ceremony, the Private Equity Awards, and a full annual calendar of market leading conferences, breakfast briefings, dinners, roundtables (physical and virtual), webinars and podcasts

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research through desk research, phone interviews, and competitor analysis to understand key trends and challenges in the private equity sector
  • Write and develop engaging, commercially relevant conference agendas based on research insights and industry needs
  • Identify and invite high-quality speakers, including industry experts and C-level executives, ensuring a strong and balanced speaker line-up
  • Work with sponsors to understand their objectives and allocate their speakers to appropriate sessions, maintaining editorial integrity
  • Present draft agendas and speaker plans during kick-off meetings to internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, logistics, and editorial teams
  • Collaborate with:
    • Marketing to ensure accurate event promotion and positioning
    • Sales to support sponsor acquisition through content insights
    • Logistics to ensure seamless event delivery and speaker coordination
    • Editorial to maintain consistency across content channels
  • Keep agendas and speaker lists updated in production documents and shared platforms
  • Support onsite event delivery by managing speakers and ensuring smooth session execution
  • Participate in post-event debriefs and assist with performance analysis and content improvements

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong interest in B2B events, journalism, content creation, or private equity/financial services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Confident and professional on the phone and in video calls with senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently but also highly collaborative with internal teams
  • A proactive and curious mindset, eager to learn and take initiative
